    iPad 4 jailbroken

Hot on the heels of the iPad mini being jailbroken,
well-known developer and iOS hacker Chpwn has announced that he has hacked his iPad 4. Both tablets officially went on sale last Friday.
As Chpwn points out, Cydia doesn’t look any different on the fourth generation iPad than it did on its predecessor. But the fact that it’s been jailbroken is actually pretty significant…
The new iPad features a handful of improvements over the previous model, including an upgraded FaceTime camera, the new Lightning port, and of course, Apple’s new A6X processor.
Though Chpwn’s jailbreak will remain a failbreak — meaning it won’t be released publicly in an effort to find more exploits — it’s a really good sign that it works on the iPad 4′s new chipset.
If you’re keeping score, the iPhone 5 and both of the new iPads have now been jailbroken, giving the Dev Team and others good starting points for developing public jailbreaks for the devices.

How to jailbreak iOS 6.1 beta

If you’re a developer wishing to jailbreak your pre-A5 device running iOS 6.1 beta,
then you’ll be happy to know that it can be easily done using the same method we used tojailbreak the iOS 6.0.1 public release.
This is, of course, a tethered jailbreak, and it only works with pre-A5 devices like the iPhone 4, or the iPhone 3GS. For the full tutorial, check inside…
Note: iOS 6.1 beta is for developers only.
Step 1: Download RedSn0w 0.9.15b3 and iOS 6.0 from our Downloads page.
Step 2: Place your pre-A5 device into DFU mode with it connected to your computer.
Step 3: Open RedSn0w, and click Extras > Select IPSW, and select the 6.0 firmware for your device. It should successfully identify the 6.0 firmware. Click back.
Step 4: Click Jailbreak on the main page of RedSn0w, then once it’s finished loading, ensure Install Cydia is checked and click Next.
Step 5: The jailbreak process will begin, and it will take a bit to finish. Once finished, you should be at your Lock screen. Close out of RedSn0w.
Step 6: Place the device back into DFU mode, and reopen RedSn0w. Go to Extras > Select IPSW, and again point to the 6.0 firmware.
Step 7: Once it successfully identifies, click Just boot. A tethered boot will be performed, and eventually you’ll end up back on your Lock screen. Unlock the device, and you should see Cydia on the second page of your Home screen.
Congratulations, you just jailbroke iOS 6.1 beta.

    How to jailbreak iOS 6.0.1

iOS 6.0.1 was just released a few minutes ago, but we’ve already confirmed
it can be jailbroken right now using the existing jailbreak tools for iOS 6.
Although RedSn0w was recently updated to 0.9.15b3, the update doesn’t yet include support for iOS 6. That’s okay, because you can still point at the already supported iOS 6 firmware and successfully jailbreak iOS 6.0.1.
Note: This is a tethered jailbreak for pre-A5 devices (iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4th generation) only.
Step 1: Download RedSn0w 0.9.15b3 and iOS 6.0 for your specific device from our Downloads page.
Step 2: Connect your device to your computer and place it into DFU mode.
Step 3: Open RedSn0w, and ensure it detects your device.
Step 4: Click Extras > Select IPSW, and select the iOS 6.0 firmware for your device. It should successfully identify the build.
Step 5: Go back to the main RedSn0w page and click Jailbreak. RedSn0w will process, and then allow you to install Cydia, which should be already checked on the next screen. Click Next, and the jailbreak will finish processing and begin on your iPhone. Keep RedSn0w open.
Step 6: Once the jailbreak is complete and you are back on your device’s Lock screen, place your device back into DFU mode.
Step 7: On the main page of RedSn0w click Extras > Just boot. This will perform a tethered boot. Your device should reboot with a pineapple logo.
Step 8: Once the device reboots, you should see Cydia on the Home screen.

How to hide multiple app icons, no jailbreak required

A while ago we told you about StifleStand — an app for
Windows or Mac that allows you to hide Newsstand without the need for a jailbreak.
Now there’s another option for hiding Newsstand, along with a host of other default iOS apps. Again, like StifleStand, no jailbreak is needed for this method either.
In the following video walkthrough, we’ll provide you with a demonstration of Rag3Hack, a new website dedicated to hiding stock iOS apps on any device, regardless of whether or not the device is jailbroken.
Note: Proceed at your own risk. Although this caused no harm to my device, I had no personal data on the device at the time of me using it. The “hack” does connect to additional server(s), so there is a possibility that this could result in some sort of privacy/security issue. With that in mind, we can’t outright recommend that you use Rag3Hack, but we wanted to make you aware of its existence, and show you it working in action. Check below for more details.

How to hide stock iOS apps with the Rag3Hack website:

Step 1: To use Rag3Hack, navigate to the following site directly from your iOS device:http://rag3hack.no-ip.org/. This should work on any firmware, for any iOS device, and again, you don’t need to be jailbroken in order to do this. If this site isn’t loading for you then try again later. It looks like the traffic from iDB may have crashed his web server.
Step 2: Once there, tap the “Hide Apps without jailbreaking” link, and read the instructions on the following page. Be sure to read the instructions thoroughly so that you have a solid idea as to how this works.
Step 3: Tap on the link of the app that you want to hide. Ensure that the app actually exists on your device. For instance, there’s no dedicated FaceTime app to be found on an iPhone, but you will find one on the iPod touch or iPad.
Step 4: A prompt should pop up asking you to Install.
Step 5: Tap Install, and you will be taken to the Home screen.
Step 6: A new prompt should pop up stating that it’s unable to download the application. Tap Done.
Step 7: The app icon in question should be blank, with half a loading bar. Tap and hold on any app icon to place your device into wiggle mode.
Step 8: Tap the x icon on the blank app to delete the app in question.
Step 9: After hiding apps using Rag3Hack, you can get them back by simply rebooting your device.
The nice thing about RageHack is that it runs right on your device. There’s no need to hook your iOS device up to either a Mac or a PC, as it runs totally independent, and doesn’t require any separate app to initiate the hack.
The links on the Rag3Master site point to items similar to the following:
    itms-services://?action=download-manifest&url=http://maty1400.ma.funpic.de/beta/Messages.plist
If you navigate directly to: http://maty1400.ma.funpic.de/beta/Messages.plist, you’ll find a sparse plist file with a link to a delete.ipa file. It certainly doesn’t seem like the creator of the site, @ragemasta is up to anything malicious, but again, proceed at your own accord.
What do you think about being able to hide stock iOS apps like this?
